Overview

Split-type visible light modules from 1080p to 4K (3840×2160). FPGA platform, global shutter. MIPI, CML, SDI, CameraLink options. 35×35mm board.

Project Background

MODO-VS-1080-4K is a split-type visible imaging family rather than a single fixed camera configuration. It combines separate mechanical partitioning, a global-shutter FPGA platform and 1080p, 1440p and 4K variants so OEM teams can address installation space, resolution and interface requirements within one selection framework.

Key Features

Model Selection Guide

  • MODO-VS-1080-CL · 1920×1080 · CameraLink · DC 12V
  • MODO-VS-1080-SD · 1920×1080 · SDI · DC 5V
  • MODO-VS-1440-MP · 2560×1440 · MIPI · DC 5V
  • MODO-VS-1440-CM · 2560×1440 · CML · DC 5V
  • MODO-VS-2160-MP · 3840×2160 · MIPI · DC 5V

Key Features

  • Global shutter — eliminates rolling shutter artifacts in dynamic scenes
  • FPGA platform — deterministic latency for targeting and tracking systems
  • Scalable to 4K — future-proof resolution for next-generation EO/IR systems
  • DC 5V (most variants) — compatible with UAV and portable power systems

Customer Problems Solved

Confined or distributed mechanical layouts

A one-piece camera can be difficult to position when the optical front end and processing electronics cannot occupy the same space in the host.

The split-type architecture allows the imaging front end and processing section to be arranged separately, with variant-dependent 35×35 mm or 40×40 mm board envelopes.

Selecting resolution, interface and power together

Different host systems need different combinations of image resolution, digital interface and supply voltage, making a single fixed variant restrictive.

Five documented variants cover 1080p, 1440p and 4K with CameraLink, SDI, MIPI or CML interfaces and variant-specific DC 5 V or 12 V power.

Dynamic-scene imaging and deterministic processing

Moving platforms and targets can expose rolling-shutter geometry artifacts, while tracking systems also require a predictable processing path.

Global shutter avoids rolling-shutter artifacts in dynamic scenes, and the FPGA platform provides a deterministic imaging path for targeting and tracking integration.
