About IRmodules

Established in 2016 in Wuhan's Optics Valley — China's national optoelectronics hub. Pioneering multi-spectral EO/IR imaging modules for the world's most demanding applications.

Multi-Spectral Imaging Technology Pioneer

IRmodules is based in Wuhan's Optics Valley, a premier national high-tech industrial zone and a hub for military-civil fusion innovation in China. Since 2016, we have specialized in multi-spectral imaging research and solutions, assembling a core team with expertise across the full spectral range: visible, low-light, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR.

Our team developed the industry's first single-chip LWIR + low-light dual-band module, delivering the smallest size, lowest power consumption, minimal latency, and integrated synchronization in its class. We support China's top research institutes and have successfully transitioned multiple projects into production.

Looking ahead, IRmodules continues to advance multi-spectral fusion algorithms, AI-based recognition and tracking, polarimetric imaging, and hyperspectral sensing — expanding from module components to complete EO/IR solutions for missile-borne, airborne, vehicle-mounted, and dismounted soldier systems.

Core Competencies

From detector physics to AI inference — a vertically integrated technology stack for multi-spectral EO/IR imaging.

Multi-Band Imaging

Full spectral coverage from visible light through long-wave infrared — each band capturing scene detail invisible to the others. The same location rendered across all five spectral channels, demonstrating the unique information each band contributes.

Image Fusion

Eight proprietary fusion algorithms combining dual-band channels — IR and visible — into a single enhanced image. Each algorithm is optimized for different operational conditions: scene contrast, target temperature, ambient lighting, and detection priority.

AI & Large Model Integration

Multi-band low-level imaging algorithms are being comprehensively integrated with AI large models — bringing machine intelligence directly into the imaging pipeline for detection, classification, and tracking at the module level.

Higher Efficiency

AI-accelerated processing replaces traditional multi-step pipelines, dramatically reducing time-to-result for detection and classification tasks in real-time systems.

Lower Cost

End-to-end model inference reduces dependency on hand-crafted feature engineering, lowering both development and deployment costs per unit for OEM customers.

Stronger Competitive Moat

Deep integration of proprietary imaging hardware with AI models creates a differentiated capability that is difficult to replicate from software alone.
