Overview

A 640×512 InGaAs SWIR imaging module covering 0.9–1.7 μm with a 15 μm pixel pitch, 50 Hz Camera Link output, and global exposure from 20 μs to 19 ms.

Project Background

MODO-SW-640-50 combines a 640×512 InGaAs detector, 0.9–1.7 μm response, global exposure and Camera Link acquisition in a SWIR configuration. Y8/Y16/X16 output, internal/external synchronization and RS422 control support integration into OEM imaging and machine-vision systems, while project-specific mechanical and environmental items remain subject to confirmation.

Key Features

Engineering profile

  • Camera Link provides 50 Hz digital output in Y8, Y16, or X16 formats, while RS422 handles configuration.

Key capabilities

  • Detector: InGaAs SWIR
  • Resolution: 640×512 @ 50 Hz
  • Pixel pitch: 15 μm
  • Spectral band: 0.9–1.7 μm
  • Lens configuration: 25 mm athermalized, F/1.4–16

Image processing and control

  • Temporal and spatial filtering, detail enhancement levels 0–7, internal/external synchronization, brightness and contrast adjustment, horizontal/vertical flip, 1×/2×/4× electronic zoom, crosshair overlay, test patterns, bad-pixel handling, firmware upgrade, and polarity selection are supported.

Customer Problems Solved

Observation beyond the visible band

Some inspection and observation tasks need image information that is not available from a visible-light channel alone.

The InGaAs detector covers 0.9–1.7 μm, providing a SWIR channel whose suitability can be evaluated against the actual target, illumination and optics.

Exposure timing in moving scenes

Moving targets and synchronized acquisition can make exposure geometry and trigger timing as important as detector resolution.

Global exposure from 20 μs to 19 ms and internal/external synchronization give the integrator controls for coordinating image capture with the scene and host timing.

Digital acquisition and module configuration

SWIR integration requires a defined output format, acquisition interface and control path, not just a detector specification.

Camera Link provides 50 Hz Y8, Y16 or X16 output, RS422 handles configuration, and test patterns plus bad-pixel handling support system setup and verification.
