Overview

A lightweight dual-spectrum EO/IR module pairing a 640×512, 12 μm LWIR channel with a 2560×1920 monochrome visible/NIR channel — independent 25 Hz digital outputs for system-level fusion, shared RS422 control, and a ≤70 g dual-board envelope for compact payloads.

Key Features

Engineering profile

  • Two independent optical envelopes — the LWIR module at ≤35×35×32.2 mm and the visible module at ≤41×23×5.5 mm — let lens pairing, alignment, and downstream fusion processing be configured for the host system; both channels output simultaneously at 25 Hz under a shared RS422 link.

Key capabilities

  • Thermal channel: 640×512, 12 μm, 8–14 μm, NETD ≤60 mK
  • Visible channel: 2560×1920, 2.5 μm, monochrome visible/NIR
  • Output: independent visible and LWIR digital video — visible 8-bit; LWIR simultaneous 8-bit + 14-bit
  • Control: RS422, 115200 bps; lens options 25/40/65 mm (LWIR) and 25/40 mm (visible)

Image processing and control

  • Thermal channel supports image enhancement, polarity switching, gain/brightness control, electronic zoom, automatic/manual non-uniformity correction (shutter correction disable), OSD blanking, self-test, and version reporting.
  • Visible channel supports automatic brightness/gain/exposure, manual brightness and contrast, image enhancement, haze penetration, strong-light suppression, electronic zoom, overlays, and status reporting.

Design Differentiators

Dual-spectrum fusion

  • Independent digital outputs for both channels give host systems full flexibility for pixel-level fusion, picture-in-picture, or side-by-side display without re-encoding.
  • Genlock-aligned 25 Hz frame timing on both channels simplifies temporal registration for fusion algorithms.
  • Shared RS422 control bus allows synchronized parameter updates across thermal and visible pipelines with a single command interface.
