IRmodules Announces FUSION LV1225A Production Availability

IRmodules is pleased to announce general production availability of the FUSION LV1225A single-chip dual-band imaging module — delivering simultaneous 1280×1024 long-wave infrared and 2560×1440 visible light imaging from an unprecedented 35×35 mm form factor.

  • LWIR Channel: 1280×1024 @ 12 μm pixel pitch, 8–14 μm spectral band
  • Visible Channel: 2560×1440 @ 2.5 μm pixel pitch, 0.4–0.9 μm
  • Interface: CML or MIPI (customer selectable)
  • Communication: RS422
  • Power: DC 5V — compatible with standard drone and gimbal power rails
  • Dimensions: 35×35 mm — standard for tight payload envelopes

Configuration Options

The LV1225A supports two detector configuration options:

Option 1: 1080×1024 IR + 2560×1920 visible — maximizing visible resolution
Option 2: 1280×1024 IR + 2560×1440 visible — maximizing infrared resolution

Both configurations are available with CML or MIPI output interfaces.

Target Applications

The LV1225A is designed for compact EO/IR payloads requiring simultaneous thermal and visible light imagery for fusion, target confirmation, and AI-based detection. Typical applications include UAV ISR payloads, compact gimbal systems, and man-portable dual-band devices.
